Unfortunately, being obedient and succumbing to your parents even when you’re an adult is very common in many other cultures; not just the Chineese culture.

Thanks for being very honest about what you’ve gone through. As a black woman I know that many other races look down on the black people as well. Sadly, it is a well known fact that this happens and I am not surprised. I only hope you can find a way to make peace with the situation it can’t be easy cutting off your dad.
